Unsupervised learning of EEG spatial patterns

How to identify groups of spatial patterns of neural activations that are consistent and easy to interpret?

Determining the spatial distribution of brain activity as captured by EEG signals is fundamental for helping us to interpret the results obtained by the tools we use and develop for decoding of neural activity.

Skills required

  • Interest in improving the interpretability of data-driven neural decoding methods.

  • Good programming skills in python (familiarity numpy, sklearn are a plus).
  • Good mathematical background and intuition.
  • Interest in improving the interpretability of data-driven neural decoding methods.
